Software you pay for shouldn't keep selling to you.
DeclutterMe is a Chrome extension for the business apps you work in all day. It covers QuickBooks Online, Xero, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Gmail, Google Docs, Jira & Confluence, LinkedIn and YouTube. It hides the upsells, surveys and AI prompts those apps keep adding, so the screen is about your work again. 57 fixes across 9 apps, each with its own switch.
Why we built it
The apps small businesses rely on keep selling to the people already paying for them. An upgrade box opens when you save an invoice. An AI button sits next to Approve. A survey covers the dashboard. Most of these can't be switched off, or the switch resets, or it takes other features with it.
We think the honest answer to "how do I turn this off?" deserves to come first, even when it's "you can't".
How our guides work
- Every guide starts with a short answer and says whether the app has its own setting: yes, partly or no.
- If the app's own setting works, we say so before we mention DeclutterMe, along with what that setting costs you.
- Steps and setting names come from our own checks and the vendor's help pages.
- Each guide shows the date we last checked it. Apps change, and we update the guide when they do.
How the fixes work
- Each fix hides one thing. You switch fixes on and off one by one, so you keep the parts of each app you like.
- A few fixes click a switch for you, such as turning off YouTube autoplay. They never click send, pay or delete.
- When an app changes its layout and a fix stops working, we can adjust it or switch it off straight away, without waiting weeks for a Chrome Web Store review.
What we never hide
Some notices matter even when they look like a banner. DeclutterMe never hides failed payments, tax deadlines, security alerts, storage-full warnings or outage notices. In Jira and Confluence, your own admins' announcements always stay.
What DeclutterMe isn't
It isn't an ad blocker, a privacy tool or a stance against AI. We hide nags, not features. If you use Copilot or Gemini on purpose, leave that fix off and they work as before.
Your data
Everything happens inside your browser. DeclutterMe looks at the page only to find what to hide, and never collects, stores or sends the content of your emails, books or messages. The privacy policy lists the only two requests the extension makes.
